I feel that the Federal Government is behind on the issue of bandwidth. The same requirements for service that apply to POTS should apply to XDSL. It should be regulated by the FCC and state PUC's. If any provider supplies high speed internet they also should be required to provide voice or if they provide voice they should be required to provide bandwidth. Companies like Vonage and Skype should not be allowed to provide service. They are the parasites of the industry. Acceptable bandwidth should be available for all including the rural customer.
