More bad news for Fairpoint Communications (NYSE: FRP).
Just as the company was beginning to report progress on its path toward resuming normal operations, its credit rating has been downgraded by three agencies in response to the news that it has brought in outside advisors to help it avoid violating debt covenants in June.
In addition, the company’s call centers have been unable to take calls today for unknown reasons.
UPDATE: At least the call center problem was resolved before the day ended.
