Erudite readers/informed buyers ought to understand that the content and ambience rich features of iPHONE product line can only be viably supported by a true 3G network from a non-vocie features standpoint(PDA and Data genre features).Sprint's 'SIMPLY EVERYTHING' plan ($99/mth for unlimited voice, text, data, movie, gps, picture sharing etc ) offered on Samsungs INSTINC handset($129/=) is the most viable offering/product in the market for the features a iPHONE user would like to exploit. The NOW network of SPrint is a true EVDO -REV A and the INSTINCT battery is non-propreitary, has a SD slot and has been highly rated by CNET,CTIA Wireless and LAPTOP magazine. Dropped calls for any carrier is driven by gaps in coverage footprint and is a constant with a degree difference. The NOW netowrk is CDMA based and the call quality issue on SPrint networks is confined to the iDEN and is local to the non-PTT voice markets.

I would like to acknowledge some of the issues mentioned.

I was also somewhat disappointed to learn that this phone supposedly targeted to business market does is missing Voice activated dialing that even cheaper smart phone that have over two years have and I was hoping to have this iPhone do better on that. I may have misquoted by someone that it did have it.

I also had heard that it was capable to tak SD memory card but wish it did that find need for for what I intnded using.

Importing my contacts from my old T-mobile PDA has been a so much waste of time and has not beed able to get any help yet.

Some problems, but overall the best phone I have ever owned. Used it today in NJ and NYC and had very good results - surfed the web easily, no dropped calls. Last Saturday, had some problems in NYC with web surfing - frozen screens and the like. Not perfect, but still the best I've ever owned, by far.

all these articles are pointing the finger at AT&T, when they are failing to realize that users on other networks are having the exact same problems
