Fibrenoire Deploys Carrier Ethernet Infrastructure

Fibrenoire, a service provider offering Internet and private network services over an optical fiber network in Quebec and Ontario, announced it has completed implementation of an end-to-end Cisco Carrier Ethernet System covering the Quebec City, Montreal and Toronto regions.

Cisco’s Carrier Ethernet System transforms the way service providers operate by providing a massive scale, end-to-end packet optical architecture and flexible 1G to 10G service delivery.

The Cisco Carrier Ethernet System is also pre-tested to minimize the time and technical resources required to test and validate network performance. This result is an end-to-end Metro Ethernet Forum-certified system allowing Fibrenoire to offer state-of-the-art services.

“Cisco is committed to Fibrenoire’s success. The Cisco team is always available to listen and explore our current and future needs. For Fibrenoire, having Cisco’s commitment and being able to talk directly to product experts is critical,” said Jean-François Lévesque, owner and CTO, Fibrenoire.

RAD Wins Best Product Award for Carrier Ethernet Demarcation at Carrier Ethernet APAC Congress

Singapore, December 2, 2011 – For the second time this year RAD Data Communications has won a Best Product Award at a Carrier Ethernet World Congress event.

This latest award, for Best Carrier Ethernet Demarcation Product in Asia-Pacific, was presented at the Carrier Ethernet APAC 2011 in Singapore. The winning product is RAD’s ETX-203A Carrier Ethernet Demarcation Device.

“The ETX-203A stands out among its peers by its incomparable price-performance advantage,” said Amir Karo, Vice President of Marketing at RAD Data Communications. “This is especially relevant in APAC, where, until now, high CapEx has slowed the introduction of premium Carrier Ethernet services.”

The award was determined by a panel of judges from leading industry analyst firms Informa, Infonetics, and Ovum and presented under the auspices of IIR Telecoms & Technology, organizer of the event, and in the presence of the Metro Ethernet Forum.
