The service is available now, at Mercy Medical Center Redding, Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta, and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff.

Tiscali Expanding Network Capacity and Services

Cisco announced an agreement with Tiscali, one of the main telecoms companies in Italy, which entails the supply of technology to strengthen its backbone and rationalize its data center.

This agreement, which includes Cisco Gold Certified Partners, Sirti for networking devices and Maticmind for Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) blade systems, provides for the supply of three Cisco Carrier Routing Systems (CRS-1), the Cisco carrier-class routing platform, 16 Cisco UCS blade systems, and three Cisco Nexus 5000 systems for its Data Center upgrade.

Verizon has earned the federal government’s Personal Identity Verification Interoperable certification for the company’s Identity Managed Service Offering. This certification — issued by the Federal PKI Policy Authority — provides assurance that identity services are helping to improve security, reduce identity fraud, and protect the privacy of credentialed users and their organizations.
