Wireless Innovation Forum Members Set Operations Plan, Meeting Dates for FY2011

Plan Includes Creation of at Least One New Special Interest Group Focused on a Commercial Wireless Market, New Workshops, Certification Capability and Publication of “10 Most Wanted Wireless Innovations”

WASHINGTON–The Wireless Innovation Forum (www.WirelessInnovation.org) today announced the approval of its 2011 Operations plan by its membership. The Plan includes eight top level objectives in support of the Forum’s Strategic Plan:

“Test Guidelines and Requirements for Secondary Spectrum Access of Unused TV Spectrum also referred to as TV White Space”
1. Deliver Relevant Work Products

2. Establish a Certification Capability

3. Define New Initiatives

4. Increase End User Participation

5. Publish a “Top 10 Most Wanted Wireless Innovations” List

6. Strengthen the Forum’s Brand

7. Improve Regional Support

8. Grow Participation

Through these eight objectives, the members of the Forum will develop multiple Reports, Recommendations and Specifications over the coming year more
