Cisco announced that KORE Telematics, the world’s largest fully digital wireless network provider specializing exclusively in the rapidly expanding machine-to-machine (M2M) communications market, has deployed the Cisco ASR 1000 to support its continued growth.
ABI Research forecasts that the mobile M2M connectivity market will grow from 58 million connections globally in 2008 to approximately 225 million in 2014, a compound annual growth rate of about 25 percent.
KORE is at the forefront of the M2M growth market, currently delivering service to more than 600 application providers, powering diverse applications ranging from asset management to vehicle location, utility metering and payment processing. Now, 3G applications, including video surveillance and router-backup services, are gaining ground.
