ADTRAN, Inc. Reports Results for First Quarter 2010

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — ADTRAN, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADTN) reported results for the first quarter of 2010. Sales increased 15% to $127,027,000 for the quarter, compared to $110,364,000 for the first quarter of 2009. Net income increased 20% to $18,194,000 for the quarter, compared to $15,184,000 for the first quarter of 2009. Earnings per share, assuming dilution, were $0.29 for the quarter, compared to $0.24 for the first quarter of 2009.

Intelsat S.A., the world’s leading provider of fixed satellite services, introduced its new terrestrial network, IntelsatONE — powered by Cisco.

IntelsatONE is a global, terrestrial architecture, consisting of an IP/MPLS-based network, fiber, teleports and points of presence. It is fully integrated with Intelsat’s global satellite fleet — providing a single source for converged voice, video and data solutions.
