Enterprise Ireland Showcases Innovative Technology for U.S. Market at CTIA Wireless 2010
Over 26 Irish Companies Unveil Key Technologies for U.S. Wireless and Telecoms Industry
PALO ALTO, Calif., – March 16, 2010 – Enterprise Ireland, the trade and technology agency of the Irish Government, announced today that over 26 telecoms and wireless companies will participate in this year’s CTIA Wireless Conference in Las Vegas on March 23-25. At the Ireland Pavilion (Central Hall, Booth #1727). Altobridge, Accuris, Benetel, FeedHenry, Fifth Province Ventures, Mingoa, NewBay Software, Openet, Tango Telecom, and Yougetitback.com will demo their technology to Enterprise Ireland’s global network of suppliers, distributors, customers and industry experts. Enterprise Ireland has also launched a Web site especially for CTIA at http://americas.enterprise-ireland.com/ctia2010/ctia-company-showcase-2010/ that includes a blog with the latest CTIA and telecom market news.

Enterprise Ireland’s global panel of experts, the Wireless Advisory Group, will provide guidance and support at CTIA to Irish wireless companies on their market strategies for the U.S. Joining Enterprise Ireland at CTIA will be: Chris Boody, AT&T, Hank Skorny, Real Networks, Trevor Healy, Jajah and Kieran Hannon.

Altobridge

Benetel

Fifth Province Ventures
Fifth Province Ventures is an Irish company that incubates and prototypes innovative technology concepts to make them credible and engaging to potential investment. One of its projects is Life-Sense -– a Mobile Social Networking platform with a twist. Life-Sense enables real connections between people who should meet but never have. It leverages the power of virtual connectivity so that true social interaction takes place. The platform is built around a genuine business opportunity – an advertising net that allows just- in- time advertising via updatable twitter- like feeds. The company is jointly owned by John Ingram (MD of Animo Communications) and Dr. Gary Mc Darby (former PI with MIT Media Lab Europe).
Mingoa
Mingoa provides Ethernet OAM hardware accelerators. The first product, MetRoam, detects faults and measures performance on Ethernet networks, supporting 802.1ag and Y.1731. MetRoam can be designed into new products or can be used to upgrade existing products to play in the fast growing Ethernet Access and Mobile Backhaul markets. Yougetitback.com provides a multi-platform application and service that helps Protect and Recover mobile phones in the event they are lost or stolen. We make it very easy for a good person to do the right thing and extremely difficult for a bad person to access your data or take advantage of your phone.
