XCast Labs Makes Noise from NCTC Show in Long Beach

Today from the NCTC Winter Educational Conference in Long Beach, XCast Labs continued to make its presence known when it announced that it can now automatically provision the full line of Arris EMTAs (Embedded Multi-media Terminal Adapters), which combine a cable modem with up to 12 ports of VoIP capability.

In addition, the Voice and Video-over-IP service provider also reported that Private Network Cable (PNC) Television, a New York City competitive Video, Internet and Digital Satellite provider, has selected it for XCast VoIP for its Digital Phone Service launch.

Sprint 4G a Perfect Match for Philadelphia Software Provider

Kayentis executives trial the new technology; see immediate benefits with customers

Motorola Completes Acquisition of BitBand

Strategic acquisition enhances Motorola’s On Demand Portfolio

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Feb. 19 — Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT - News) today announced that it completed the previously announced acquisition of BitBand, a leading provider of content management and delivery systems, specializing in video on demand for IPTV. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Integrated into Motorola’s Home business, the acquisition of BitBand will complement Motorola’s existing on demand product line which includes the Adaptive Media Management framework for content management and high-performance streaming servers for centralized and edge-based on demand networks. BitBand brings products tailored for IP video and expertise in IPTV solutions, as well as solutions for content delivery networks (CDN) and Over-the-Top video services.
