Wavesat and WirelessLogix Certify WiMAX Chipset Compatibility

WiMAX World USA - Chicago, Illinois, October 1, 2008 – Wavesat Inc., a leading supplier of Broadband Wireless semiconductor solutions and WirelessLogix, a leading supplier of test and measurement solutions, announced today that they have successfully completed interoperability testing between Wavesat’s Odyssey™ 8500 chipset and WirelessLogix’ WiMAX data collection solutions.

This new diagnostic support for Wavesat’s Odyssey chipset will provide WiMAX engineers with the ability to perform testing using Wavesat-based devices and the WirelessLogix’ XCAL-X real-time data collection tool and XCAP-X analysis tool. XCAL-X will enable technicians and network engineers to collect performance metrics from Wavesat’s Odyssey WiMAX devices in order to optimize network deployment and system performance. Troubleshooting and detailed analysis can then be performed using WirelessLogix’ XCAP-X software platform.

“We are receiving tremendous interest from OEMS and service providers for our multimode Odyssey chipset,” said Vijay Dube, EVP of Marketing and COO, Wavesat. “We’re pleased to be working with WirelessLogix to provide our customers with highly developed diagnostic and test solutions, which in turn, will help reduce the time-to-market for their products.”

“Wavesat is an important addition to our expanding WiMAX partner list,” said Mark Tierney, VP of Business Development, WirelessLogix. “As the WiMAX ecosystem evolves with new devices and chipsets, WirelessLogix will continue to ensure that our solutions pass the necessary testing and are ready to support these new devices.”

Both Wavesat and WirelessLogix will be exhibiting at WiMAX World USA 2008 in Chicago from September 30 to October 2nd. Wavesat will be exhibiting its complete line of broadband wireless products at Booth #1116. WirelessLogix will be demonstrating its latest product solutions including XCAL/XCAP at Booth #1213.
